We have seen in a related article that\u00a0assessment interviews (guidelines)<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0are essential in order to be able to fine-tune \u2013 and even correct \u2013 the\u00a0interpretation\u00a0of test results.<\/p>\n

The assessment report will then allow communicating all the relevant information to the hierarchy of the (future) employee<\/strong>\u00a0with the aim of preparing for\u00a0development actions\u00a0and\/or making the\u00a0selection decision.<\/p>\n

CONTENTS OF AN ASSESSMENT REPORT<\/strong><\/h5>\n

In order to be as relevant as possible, the assessment report should contain the following elements:<\/p>\n

  1. The aim of the assessment<\/li>\n
  2. The candidate\u2019s professional experience<\/li>\n
  3. The results of the assessment test<\/li>\n
  4. The explanation of the test\u2019s results that has been delivered by the candidate<\/li>\n
  5. The candidate\u2019s possible disagreement with this or that part of the test results or interpretation<\/li>\n
  6. The possible development actions in relation to the candidate\u2019s (present of future) professional occupation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Ideally, candidates should be given the opportunity to read their assessment report before it is transmitted to the hierarchy.<\/strong> This will indeed foster trust by showing them that they have not been “framed” and that the communicated data will not be used in an abusive or excessively intrusive manner.<\/p>\n

    ACCESS RIGHTS TO TEST RESULTS<\/strong><\/h5>\n

    Access rights to assessment results should be clearly delimited within the company. <\/strong>All the members of the Board and of the HR Department, as well as the managers who are entitled to access them should be precisely listed up. Moreover, only those with proper training should be allowed to access “raw” test results<\/u>\u00a0(i.e. the quantitative data).<\/p>\n
