Audit your organization’s human potential

Human-related malfunctions (illustration) are harder to detect. It takes a lot of time for them to appear in a tangible way (putsch, departures, strikes, absenteeism, illness, etc.). This is precisely what can make them life-threatening for the company. Indeed, even once detected, they need much time to cure. Moreover, it is difficult to guarantee that the expected results will be reached, as it is not possible to force the personnel to change their attitudes overnight.

Here are two examples of organizational malfunctions related to the human factor:

  1. Example of an organizational filter
  2. Example of misunderstandings within a team

SELF-COACHING

This self-coaching sheet (exercises) aims to help you spot the organizational malfunctions that are caused by either your or your partners’ (project team, management, suppliers, customers, etc.) human behaviors and lack of interpersonal skills.

These exercises are taken from chapters 7 and 8 of the book “Management by Coaching: Coping with Complexity in a Changing World”.
